Start Talking 

  • How many Christmas parties/events do you typically go to during the holiday season?

    • Do you find these stressful or fun? Or maybe both?

  • Do you ever say “no” to getting together or going to a party?

    • Why do you say no?

    • Are you worried about hurting anyone’s feelings?

  • Describe the most stress-inducing person you are around during the holidays (no names please).

  • Do you spend the holidays/have any family members who are spiritually lost?

  • Have you ever felt afraid to talk about your faith and Christmas at family gatherings?

  • Read 1 Corinthians 9:19-22

    • Although Paul says he is free in this passage, why does he say he becomes like a slave to everyone (V. 19, 22)?

  • Read Acts 17:2-3

    • What did Paul do at the synagogue?

    • How do we know that this is what he normally did when he was in a town?

  • Read Acts 17:10-11

    • What did Paul and Silas do upon arriving in Berea?

    • Why were the Berean Jews considered to be of more noble character?

    • What distressed Paul when he arrived in Athens?

    • Has your family witnessed how your life has been changed?

    • 1. Choose which story to tell - Either a story of salvation or growth

    • 2. Take time to prepare, practice, and pray

    • 3. Be curious and connect - ask lots of questions

    • 4. Share it with confidence - Rom 1:16
