About Emily
My approach to therapy is centered on helping you understand yourself and how you interact with the world. Together, we will explore your story using techniques from Internal Family Systems Therapy, emotional exploration, examination of family origins, and empathetic encounters. I use a holistic and nonpathologizing approach. I take your environmental, social, mental, physical, and emotional well-being into consideration throughout our time together. My desire is to help you break free from fear and shame and take ownership of your story. In our time together, I will help you learn how to break cycles and patterns that are no longer serving you, relate to yourself in a more positive way, and achieve any other goals that are important to you! No matter what challenge you find yourself facing in this season, I am here to support you and believe that healing is possible.
Common areas I work with clients on are: familial relationships, dating, anxiety/depression, self-esteem, school stress and burnout, people pleasing, Spiritual concerns, and life transitions. I work with women ages 13+. I enjoy utilizing Biblical principles when desired by my clients. I have 7 years experience in working with college students in both ministry and educational settings.
