We know volunteering can be a huge step and feel like a big commitment. We also know it’s the quickest and easiest way to begin getting to know people at Athens Church. Volunteers lead small groups from toddlers to adults, greet guests at the door, produce video in the auditorium, and much, much more! There’s literally a spot for everyone, no matter what your skill or passion. And not only is it rewarding to see your hour of service help other people, but it’s also just fun!

Don’t worry, you’re not making a commitment to serve right now. You're just signing up for an event called Backstage Pass. You’ll learn more about the ministry area you’re interested in and get a behind-the-scenes look at how you could serve week-to-week. Take a look below at the next available opportunities for Backstage Pass at each location.

Why Serve?

Find Your People

If you're looking to make friends, there's no better way to than joining a serving team! You'll be shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the best people at Athens Church each week—they'll learn your name and you'll learn theirs. Before you know it, this place will feel smaller and your world will grow bigger.

Make A Difference

If you're looking to make an impact on the next generation or just Athens, then this your chance! You'll have the chance to invest in a multi-generational church where you can see the results of what you do week-in, week-out. There are very few things in life that are more faith-building than helping lead someone else into a growing relationship with Jesus.

Discover Your Purpose

If you're trying to find out what God has next for you, serving might just be the step He uses to show you. You'll be able to use the natural gifts and talents you have to explore the purpose God has for your life. It might sound crazy, but we've seen God do something in people time and time again.
